Default Preseason Detroit vs. Minny

Matchup: Detroit 2-1-2 in exhibitions; Minnesota 2-1-0.

Face-off: 7:30 p.m., Joe Louis Arena, Detroit.

TV/radio: None.

Overview: Detroit native Erik Reitz was one of five players the Wild sent down Monday to the Houston Aeros of the AHL. Right wing Joel Ward, who came to camp on a tryout, is still on the roster. Ward, 26, scored eight goals last season, his first season with the Aeros after playing four years in the OHL and another four for the University of Prince Edward Island. Ward had a rookie camp tryout with the Wings in 2001.

Well, hopefully Hudler and Kopecky can keep their streak going. They are looking good and will fit the team well come the reg season.

Best stat of the game,

Quote:
Dominik Hasek had 21 saves for Detroit, and Manny Fernandez stopped 35 shots for Minnesota.
Detroit still can put the shots on net. The more shots the better.

Ya, it doesn't seem that Detroit is having problems getting the puck on net like they were against the Oilers in the playoffs. They seem to have some really good young talent, and I've personally been impressed with the amount of points Williams has been putting up. I didn't think that he would be able to continue with his new found offensive prowess, but it seems he will (or I hope he will). Should be an exciting season.

Not sure if he can either. But, I guess it depends on who he is playing with. Kind of like Samuelson. I really do not think he will match or better last years numbers.

Hudler is getting better each game. I really think he will be that quiet point getter for us.
