What the *&@% is going on...first an 8-6 loss to the Ducks, then 5-2 to the Sharks. These are coming at a bad time, because I want the President' Cup!

PLEASE, let's get back on track and roll into the playoffs with some momentum, not to mention home ice throughout.

The President's Trophy is nice (my Sens had it last year!). But to be honest, in today's NHL skilled teams can win wherever they play (and Detroit is certainly a skilled team) so the home-ice isn't that big a factor. I wouldn't get too upset if the Wings fail to clinch first overall, but it sure looks good if you have it next to your name. Not only that, you get some silverware regardless of playoff advancements/short comings.

1st overall in the league doesn't concern me at all. What gets me excited is the thought of Stevie Y being handed the SC a 4th time in June.

Detroit secured the West tonight, and have a four point lead on TB for the President's Cup. Plus, they have a game in hand...with three remaining compared to TB's two.

Yes, I want Stanley the most, and that will come next. But the President's is cool and I like winning it, plus it guarantees home ice throughout.
