DETROIT (AP) - Curtis Joseph is expected to start in goal Thursday for the Detroit Red Wings at Columbus.
It will be the goaltender's first game action in a month.
The Red Wings said Joseph would be out for a week to 10 days when he was injured against San Jose on Feb. 11, but they were able to bring him back slowly in part because of backup Manny Legace's solid play.
Joseph had surgery on Aug. 19 to remove bone chips from his right ankle, the same one he sprained against the Sharks.
