Lindros season may be over


Rangers forward Eric Lindros appeared ready to return from his ninth concussion but it looks as though his season could be over.

Sportsnet.ca -- Scratch Eric Lindros' name off the New York Rangers list of "most likely to be traded".

Sportsnet has learned an MRI on Wednesday uncovered a tear around his rotator cuff that could cut his year far shorter than he was hoping.

Lindros aggrevated the shoulder while skating earlier this week in his quest to return from his latest brush with concussion problems.

The Rangers star centreman will either endure several weeks of rehab before getting cleared to return, or worse case scenario, shoulder surgery which will end his season.

This most recent turn of bad luck should silence the speculation of a Lindros trade prior to Tuesdays deadline.

thoughts: I don't really care, the wings have enough fire power as it is, and Lindros is injury prone.

You may also want to scratch his name off of any active players lists after this year. You said it, he's injury prone, and so not many teams will take him if the NYR want to get rid of him, and after nine concussions, he should think about retirement, and don't think that he isn't thinking about it, either. I know I would be after taking that many beatings.
