At last Sunday's match up down at the Joe against the Philladelphia Flyers (who else thinks this could be a possible SC final?), the organization held a moment of silence for Red Wings Alumni Carl Liscombe. He died in Hawaii at the age of 89. He died of Leukemia. He was signed to the Red Wings when he was just 18 years old, but did not actually play for them untill one and a half yeas later. He was a member of the red and white for his entire carreer (something wich rarely happens thses days), which lasted 9 seasons. I may not have been around that long ago to see him play, but I want to pay my respects to a member of the greatest American hockey franchise in history.
