it think a lot of the injuries are partly because of the ages of the players, yzerman, cheilos, hasek, ect its not that these players are not playing well its just that they are more pron to injuries hopefully it is just a stage and come playoff time it wont be a serious issue but i think it is always in the back o their minds that they will always have age is agansit them but then again because of the age they have experience on their side

its not the fact that the wings are winning games that suprises me its the fact how many goals they are scoring in those games i mean they are almost ahead by 20 goals with 104 overall and second is colorado with 86 i mean my god

There's a few teams doing a lot of winning with major injury problems. The Wings, the Blues and the Leafs have all had lengthy IR lists. Hats off to all 3 of them.

but the teams they beat badly are crappy teams...they go up again vancouver and lose 5-1...they go up again Buffalo and win 7-2. I think their other talented players like Datsuk (sp?) are stepping up their game in this situation. But I don't see them beating a good team (ie: colorado/philly) in that fashion.

Yes, the Red Wings do have a lot of injuries but so do many other teams. It's just more noticeable with the Red Wings because the team is filled with stars and future Hall of Famers. Other teams have more injuries but they are mostly to players you have never heard of.

that may be true but while the wings managed to beat the islanders 6-0 the devils only won by 1-0 in yesterdays game..

good point but Devils play more defensivly and don't try and force to many goals..unlike Detroit.
