I normally don't wish health/injury problems on anyone.
Hatcher however is an exception, if he could have only taken Chelios and Hasek out with him I'd be really happy.
I don't think Detroit has to much to worry about though they're still stacked on D. Jason Wooley has yet to play a game this year will be a good fill in for the empty spot.
schneider had like 50 points last year, and fisher could get u 30 points, and dandenualt is a speedy d man,and wooley is underrated, and with lidstrom, and chelios they have great depth

I hate relying on IF's, but what happens if the Wings lose another defensemen??? I mean, Hatcher is gone for a while(so you can't rely on him coming back in like 2 weeks or something), and its inevitible for somebody else to get hurt eventually for a stretch. After the current top 6, who else do they have??? I guess they will double shift Lidstrom, which they do anyway, but I'm sure Detroit will go pick up another guy, maybe sign Yushkevich, or some deal with Cujo!!!
with hatchers absence the wjr is reporting that they are looking to sign Phil Housely and Bryan Berard to add defense on the wings roester. Personally i dont think the wings could add much more to their d i mean hatcher was a class act but they have enough of a wide range of soild defenders
Hatcher was definitly an assest to this team, even though it was only 3 games in his presence maybe missed. Any new guy that comes in is going to prolly take a game or two to adjust atleast, and I really don't know anyone who could be as effective and as intimidating on the blue line as Hatcher. Adding him to their line up this year was smart move, and I have to agree with CM on dealing Cujo for another D-man, the Wings aren't the type of team to wait 4 months for a player to come back. They'll prolly have to offer to pick up some Cujo's salary if they're going to attempt to move....
