Ray Whitney, UFA, has signed with the Detroit Red Wings with a multi-year deal. He signed a four-year deal worth 13M. He is one of the best small forwards in the NHL and he just adds to Detroits amazing offence. Whitney is amazing but Holland will need to do a lot more then to fill Sergei's shoes

when i heard this news i was so mad...i wanted whitney to come here to vancouver...burke was talking about it to....he said he was about to offer a deal to whitney...

burke has got to get on the ball whitney is a talented guy and a lot of teams would like to see him on their roester

i think one of the key reasons is that Burke does not want to pay a guy what he's worth (ie: bertuzzi case) Vancouver has a low budget and we can't afford many good guys...how much did detroit pay him?

4 million but man o man if he plays like he did tontie all season it will be worth it.. assisting on the 2nd and 3rd goal to win agansit the kings with 1 second left (captin stevie y had the game winner)
