The Detroit Red Wings have invited David Jarram to training camp for the second time. Jarram's a 6'3," 213-lb. right wing who posted 105 penalty minutes in 41 games with the London Knights.
Jarram was recently traded to the Oshawa Generals, and his role with the Generals is clearly-defined:
Durham Region News: Earlier this week, the London Knights announced they had sent overage tough guy David Jarram to the Generals in exchange for a conditional 15th round selection in the 2008 OHL priority selection.
Jarram, originally drafted in the second round by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, won't add much in the way of offence as his 3-8-11 numbers in 184 OHL games attest to, but he should fill the role of policeman this season, offering protection for the club's younger, talented core.
