Default Several Wings execs likely to attend Ferguson memorial service

NHL legend John Ferguson passed away on Saturday after protracted battles with prostate and bone cancer.

The 68-year-old former Canadien and NHL executive's memorial service will be held on Saturday, and it's likely to draw an elite group of mourners, including Red Wings assistant GM Jim Nill and Wings consultant Scotty Bowman. Ferguson deserves nothing less than a star-studded send-off:

July 17, Windsor Star : A memorial service is scheduled for All Saints' Anglican Church on City Hall Square at 11 a.m. Saturday.

There will be no private service, Ferguson's daughter Christina Ruhl said Monday, but they are anticipating a strong turnout from the hockey fraternity for the Saturday memorial.
