They start off playing Sept. 18 at Minnesota, then host the Wild at home two days later. Fans of Sidney Crosby may get to see him Friday, Sept. 21, when the Wings host the Pittsburgh Penguins (though teams often leave stars behind during exhibition road games, so there’s no guarantee).
