Former Red Wings forward Igor Larionov says that, as the Hockey Hall of Fame can only induct four players per year, he's not particularly upset about being passed over in favour of Scott Stevens, Al MacInnis, Ron Francis, and Mark Messier:
June 28, Canadian Press: "It's not the end of the world, I can tell you that," Larionov told The Canadian Press upon learning the news. "It's OK with me. I'm absolutely not disappointed.
"Those are four great players, and I just wish them all the best. It's a good day for them and that's fine."
