In discussing the risks NHL teams will take, both financially and otherwise, in taking the unrestricted free agent plunge on July 1st (two weeks from today), the Vancouver Sun's Tony Gallagher provides an update on Todd Bertuzzi's health:
June 17, Vancouver Sun: According to his agent Pat Morris, a highly suspect source at this point, big Bert is feeling just fine, his back - which was killing him in the playoffs - is apparently swell, just over two weeks after he finished playing.
Which general manager will gamble that Bertuzzi will be able to make it through a full season, let alone be productive? It could come down to a straight medical analysis and which general manager trusts his medical staff most. And what could possibly be the price.
