Dallas Stars General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the club has signed three players to one-year contracts for the 2007-08 season. The club agreed to terms with left wing Brad Winchester on a one-year contract worth $475,000, while center Toby Petersen and defenseman Trevor Byrne received two-way contracts for 2007-08....
Can't say that I'm real excited about these signings, but I not really disappointed either. You've got to figure that Petersen and Byrne will their time in Iowa unless the Stars get into a lot of injury problems. Winchester will spend most of his time as a healthy scratch. Tippett will probably insert him into the lineup against teams like Anaheim where the Stars will need some forwards with size.
True. Plus, on the bright side we have some fresh new young guys. We can't rely on our aging players for too long. I really think Armstrong needs to be doing some work on getting some players instead of prospects. I think our future is slipping slowly down the drain
