The Dallas Stars announced Friday that they've given former NHLers Andy Moog and Ulf Dahlen positions on their coaching staff.
Moog will serve as the team's player development and goaltending coach while Dahlen will be an assistant coach. The Stars also hired Frank Provenzano of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., as their new assistant general manager.
Moog, 46, recently completed his fourth season as an assistant with the team. He'll continue to work with goaltenders throughout the Stars organization, but will primarily focus on assisting GM Doug Armstrong in monitoring player development at all levels.
The 18-year NHL veteran won three Stanley Cups with the Edmonton Oilers.
Dahlen, who had two stints with the Stars as a player, served as a European scout for the team last year.
