Default Power play has familiar guru for Stars

The Stars are 0-for-9 on the power play this season, and Ulf Dahlen isn't that upset.

The new Stars assistant coach – who is taking an important part in planning the power play this season – said managing the man advantage is, in his mind, more about flow than it is finish.

"I just don't think you should get caught up in the numbers," Dahlen said. "I judge it a lot more in: Did it give us momentum, or did it take it away? Did it help us to win a game, or did it cause us to lose one?"

With the Stars at 2-0-0, the power play hasn't been a hindrance. In fact, it created the momentum that allowed Brenden Morrow to score off a slick feed from Mike Ribeiro in Saturday's 3-1 win over New Jersey eight seconds after the power play expired.
