I love the Dallas Stars, and have sence i was a little kid. My favorite player has always been Mike Modano, but this year he has kinda disapointed me. We're now 19 games into the season and he only has 10 points, thats only about .5 points a game. Not to mention, his +/- is -14. Maybe im being to hard on the guy, but i know he is capable of doing much better. What do you guys think? Do you think that the new responsibilties as captain may be throwing off his concentration? Again, i might be being a little hard, but i was just wondering what you guys thought.

I heard that Modano had some sort of investment where he lost millions of dollars, which has been on his mind alot I would imagine. That shouldn't be the only factor, but it has to be considered.

all these factors probally play a small role in this. he is capable of way better #'s then that but his team is also struggling. So i bet once his team starts playing better it will be because of him.

yeah, i think the fact that he has been given the C has been a big distractor, but if the investment thing is ture too, i wouldnt put that out of the picture.....Either way he is capable of much better stats then he is displaying.

The dude is getting paid more than any of us will ever see. There is no excuse for such a talented player to be performing so poorly.

On TSN a while back, Bob Mackenzie was also saying that the "C" may be putting too much of a load on Modano, like some of you said. You'd think having captaincy would only make your play better, but guess not.

Like Timmy said, no excuses.
