yes thats true... but turco needs the money that the stars have. so why jump the gun? werent the stars trying to get rid of guerins contract?

but turco needs the money that the stars have. so why jump the gun? werent the stars trying to get rid of guerins contract?




id rather have a elite goalie then a 60 plus point player

thats very true, and i agree. but do you consider turco one of the elite already? i dont. he has much to prove still. they could have signed him to a 3 year 7 million dollar contract and that would have been fair also. lets say, and i doubt this, but lets say turco flops and has a bad year. what then? you've just given this guy 4 million over 3 years and that can hurt your club as having guerins lofty contract

Thats a risk that the team takes when they sign a player to large amount of money. IMO Turco is still an unproven goalie, they're basing the next three seasons on what he accomplished in one... and with that they aquire a risk that he might not perfrom up to what is expectd of him. You often see goalies that have an awsome season one year, and the next season they suck... we'll see how well Turco is able to earn the money he is been given.

i would think it an excellent signing had he been playing 3-4 yrs already. i just hope he doesnt turn out to be a flop.

i doubt it, he is 28, and has the NCAA record for wins, i dont think he will do bad
