Defenseman in running for Masterton Trophy after losing father

Defenseman Philippe Boucher could be a finalist for the Masterton Trophy. Otherwise, the Stars will be shut out tonight in Toronto when the NHL holds its annual awards ceremony.
Boucher was nominated for the award given to the player who exhibits perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. Boucher's father, Jean-Claude, battled pancreatic cancer during the season and died in March. Boucher juggled trips to Quebec to be with his mother and father, and still had the best season of his career.
