Correct me if im wrong.. but wasn't it rumored last year that Scotty could've come to Dallas last year in a trade??

Now that he'll be a free agent is it possible that GM Armstrong would take a gamble on him??

Wow Gomez's name has just come up everywhere now hasn't it. If he would go to Dallas it would be a good fit for him however, considering going from the defensive minded Devils to the defence first Stars.

The question is do they have the cap space? They have already committed to a cap hit of 37.547 mil in 07/08. That doesn't leave them a whole lot of room between signing two more defence men if they don't resign Sydor and there are still 5 RFA's and 5 UFA's at the forward positions, this team is actually in a bit of a bind at this point. Good fit and all I doubt that it will happen depends how high the cap goes for next year.
