On top of the calder win, mason also received three first place votes and finished second in the Vezina race. I have a feeling Mason will be winning a few Vezinas in his career. Quite a splash for a rookie.

Not to take anything away from Mason, but Hitchcock's system works well for goaltenders, case in point, look at Leclaire last year.

I wouldn't go out on a limb to say he's going to win many Vezinas in his career, but he looks like he'll be a good goaltender for a long time, so we'll see.
