Default Avs and Quinnville part ways

This is odd, I thought the Avs were happy with what their coach was getting out of his people. They make this sound like it was pretty amicable but I dunno. Makes one wonder how quickly he will land somewhere else....say Toronto perhaps?

Rumor has it Patrick Roy is the man they plan to replace him with, but thats such a terrible move. Roy is so terrible for PR and your throwing away a capable coach who got you to the playoffs when you probably shouldn't have been there with so many injuries.

Roy isnt ready for the NHL. He will probably see his son through jrs than consider it.

Quinnville in Toronto would be great.

Quenville is a great coach but he's not the right fit for the Avs. He's a defensive coach... defense has never been the Avs biggest strength. We need somebody who'll pump up the offense, particularly on the power play. I doubt it'll be Roy, but I wouldn't mind if Tony Granato stepped up again.

sad to see that things didn't work out for coach Q in colorado, he was a great coach in st. louis. he was just the victim of the blues fire sale. I'm sure he will land on his feet before the start of the season.
