Default Will Sakic or Forsberg be back next year?

For Sakic, at age 38, and currently under contract through, well, tonight, for over 6.5 mil, you have to wonder if the Avs will bring him back at that kind of money considering the direction the team is going.

I really am wondering if Forsberg will retire this year as he's going through injury issues again.

It will be a new era in Colorado when both of those players are gone.

I'd say Sakic is 50-50, but forsberg I can't see coming back his body just couldn't hold together well enought to see him coming back.

I'd say sakic has good odds for coming back. He's gonna play out his career in Colorado.

Forsberg? Ahhh, not likely, but there's a chance. He obviously likes it there.

I think Forsberg was done three seasons ago. But, Sakic may still have some leftin the tank but I think after this season, he needs to hang his skates up and wait for Toronto to call him.

These guys have been staples of the organization for years and although I love them as players I know that it might be their time to hang it up. Forsberg god bless him is older now and injuries have caught up with him. I think he will be retired. Sakic...maybe one more season...maybe we will see.

Well here it is. Sakic had said so himself that he is not retiring until after the 2010 Olympics in his home province. As for Forsberg, I elieve he will play through one more season. Pending on his foot he may or may not retire middle of the season. An wow, I haven't been on here since forever. Welcome back guys, an new people.
