Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon's search for more skill may have found its way to Montreal, reports the Chicago Daily Herald.
Hawks pro scout Marc Bergevin was in Denver on Wednesday to watch Ribeiro, according to a league source, whom the team is supposedly quite interested in.
Reports earlier in the week suggest the Habs are interested in Chicago center Mark Bell and defenseman Adrian Aucoin.
The Canadiens, who are looking for help on defense, are also said to be shopping winger Pierre Dagenais.
The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are supposedly shopping the likes of Matthew Barnaby, Curtis Brown and Martin Lapointe.
