Blackhawks winger Eric Daze appears to be improving, putting to rest rumors that he was retiring because of his latest back problem, reports the Chicago Daily Herald.
"Dazzer is getting better," Hawks GM Dale Tallon told the paper. "He's starting some treadmill work and we'll see what happens from there."
The 30-year-old Montreal native hasn't skated since Oct. 7, when he strained a back muscle in the warm-up prior to the game against San Jose.
"He's made some progress and we've said from the outset that we have to build him back up," Trent Yawney told the Daily Herald.
