I know the NHL wants to re-establish natural rivalries but three in a row vs the Wings is cruel and unusual punishment for most teams much less the Hawks.

I was thinking the same thing during the game.. but if a team is going to mature properly, they will have to look adversity in the face. Unfortunately, they could not come out with a single win in those three. They have the tools to be a playoff team this year, but are getting further in the ditch as these first weeks pass. I hope something turns it around for them, before it's too late. :hands:

Seven rookies in the lineup last night. They're going to need to mature fast if the Hawks will make the playoffs. Trent Yawney will be coach of the year if he can get those guys a playoff berth but I'm already thinking next year for the Hawks.

Vorobiev will be quite a player and if Rutuu can regain his form from two years ago they'll have some offense. They gotta get Daze healthy and then trade him. He needs out of Chi-town bad. I dunno what they'd get for this classic underachiever. Maybe trade him to Detroit for Chelly!

It's going to be a long, long time before the Hawks can even pretend to contend for the Cup.
