Blackhawks winger Eric Daze is out indefinitely with a back injury, triggering speculation that his injury could force the team into acquiring some offensive help.
"I wouldn't expect [Daze] back before Christmas," Blackhawks head coach Trent Yawney told the Chicago Sun-Times.
According to various reports, the Blackhawks are in the market for an affordable scoring forward and have been eyeing the likes of Carolina's Radim Vrbata, and New Jersey's Sergei Brylin and Jamie Langenbrunner.
