After a whopping four hours on the job, Dale Tallon participated in a Hawks chat yesterday on ChicagoBlackhawks.com

Essentially, though, he just said "We're not lowering tickets, we're going to market the team more to draw fans" (
the CENSORED!)"... "Yes, there are players out there who could help us" (
but he never said they were going to sign them).... "Yes, the kids are good and developing" (
unspoken - and cheap!)... and my favorite, "Yeah, we really don't have any true first line players"
And yes - that is not my being funny, he really did say that.
Quote:
rob (kingston, ontario): When looking at the depth chart, the Hawks have many players who are/would be excellent 2nd to 4th line players. However, it seems that the Hawks have no first line players at any position (except Thibault in goal and soon Ruuttu at LW) when compared to the rosters of most other teams. What is your view on this and which specific positions are most vital to fill for next year?
Dale Tallon: That's a good point, and we understand that. As I said, we're trying to recruit and draft more top line players. We definitely need top line skill and a goal scorer, plus a top notch defenseman.
