Thibault targets Thursday return

The Chicago Blackhawks will miss the playoffs for the second straight season and the sixth time in the last seven years. But that won't stop goaltender Jocelyn Thibault from attempting a comeback.
Thibault, who hasn't played since November 7, says he could be back between the pipes for the Blackhawks next home game, this Thursday against Minnesota.
Thibault underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum back on November 15. A strained hip flexor in his first return to practice resulted in an additional two week waiting period but since then, he's experienced no further complications.
"The inflammation is gone," Thibault tells the Chicago Sun-Times. "I hope to be ready by the end of the week. It's a matter of getting my conditioning down."
If he's unable to go against Minnesota, Thibault is targeting a return against either St. Louis on Saturday or the return engagement at home on Sunday.
Chicago goaltending coach Stephane Waite says Thibault is ready to play and that assessment is shared by head coach Brian Sutter.
Joce has put himself in front of every shot [in practice], and he's been watching every game. He's prepared himself mentally."

since i was born and raised in delhi, and go there quite often since my family still lives there, i am a blawkhawk fan since late 90s, when ryan signed on with them, kinda have to be since hes from delhi
anyway this is good news but a little to late, well VERY late, its too bad for this team, at the start of the season if they would have had a healthy daze, thibault, zhamnov, theo, and had berard, and clearing out some of there veterns....still dont understand why they got ride of dempsey it would have been cool to see where this team could have made it, Ruutu is playing well for his first season, and calder and Arnason are getting better as the seasons go on.. hope this team can pull up their socks next season and at least make the playoffs
