He had a serious chicken dance problem a few years ago but he's taken a few dancing lessons since then which have helped immeasurably... :]
Theo is still under suspension for violating the League's substance abuse policy for the second time. As such the Hawks are not obligated to pay him, or release him from his contract until he is medically cleared to play and is reinstated by the NHL. To the best of my knowledge this has not happened yet and the rumors I have read say don't hold your breath.
I honestly hope Theo can get in control of his life and not let his disease control him. Wether or not he plays again is secondary to this.
Even if he wanted to play, i don't think Chicago or any other team wants to take a chance on him.
I'll say the opposite, that there would be a few teams that would take the chance on him. Yes, he certainly has major off-ice issues, but when he plays his game, he is still a very effective player. Remember, he is only 2 years removed from the Olympic team, and 35 years old, so I wouldn't consider him finished, at least on the ice. The question is his ability to stay focused off the ice, which I'm sure none of us are qualified to assess accurately. But I think a few teams would jump at a chance to take him if they feel his off-ice issues are being dealt with. Look at Daryl Strawberry and the amount of chances he got, or Dennis Rodman. As long as they can still contribute on the field, court or ice, somebody will take the chance.
he still can contribute a lot to any team in 02 with the rangers he had 63 points, thats not bad at all, and he was having a lot of problems that year, just ask the sharks maskot, i hope he can put aside his problems and help out canada, or another nhl team in the future

I hope Theo can get his sh*t together. He was one of the few household names the NHL had, and when on his game he could still probably put up 50-55 points a season.
