Default Coach Who?

Who would you like to see as new coach for the Calgary Flames?

Dave Tippet would be my be my pick because he can get most of his players to buy into a defense first philosophy, he has also had more success in the playoffs.
Then I would have Brent as an assistant coach or decreased presure as associate.

Since he's on the poll, I'm not sure that you know, but Tom Renney signed on as an Associate Coach to Pat Quinn in Edmonton.

I think that one of the two Sutter boys would be the best to coach the team, especially if the rumours about the room are true.

If they aren't true and coaching defensively doesn't matter, then Jacques Lemaire.

Right I should take Renney off right away...

Thumbs down

Well I see people have voted in this poll and haven't stated why they picked that coach.

Craig MacTavish. Because I'm an Oilers fan, and that would be, well it would just be great.

I could live with Brent, but if this coach doesn't get past 1st round next season the Flames will be looking for a new GM.

Doubt it, the Flames owners are smart enough to tell when it's a GM problem and when it's a coaching problem. Daryl has constantly iced a very good roster each year; all were capable of making a good run, but none of them have had the right system or coaching.

I voted Dave Lowery, he'd be my 1st pick. Brent would make a good coach as well and I'll have no problem with him. He'll really be able to help Backlund and Boyd this year, both players are in important developing years. It'll be interesting to see Brent coaching Phaneuf again, he's probably been Dion's most effective coach.
