BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Dany Heatley had a goal and two assists, Martin Gerber made 29 saves and the Ottawa Senators beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-3 on Wednesday night.
Wade Redden added a goal and assist for the Senators, who scored three times in the second period.
Antoine Vermette, Mike Fisher and Daniel Alfredsson also scored for Ottawa, which has won two straight and eight of its last 10.

Gerber, 5-1 in his last seven appearances and 9-2 on the road this season, was shaken up just 4 minutes into the game after taking Tim Connolly's slap shot off the mask, but was able to continue. After a scoreless first period, he helped the Senators withstand a 12-shot blitz during the first 9 minutes of the second, yielding only Hecht's goal at 3:12.
