Tough loss by the Thrashers last night. Some really weird calls/noncalls in the game. Milan Lucic takes Armstrong into the boards, from behind, head first, and no call is made.

Atlanta had a chance to win it in regulation when Mark Recchi is coming in as the second man on a break to tap in the rebound when his stick is slashed out of his hand with a two handed slash and no call is made.

Both plays were "on puck" so the officials simply ignored what they were looking straight at.

I was glad to see Atlanta playing better. But of course I want to see them getting 2 points, rather than one. So last night's game? Meh. Not bad, not optimal.
