Hummm, not sure about that. One team trading a high price player that is unsigned for another high priced player that is unsigned does not normally happen. Trades for players like Sundin and Hossa usually follow the script of the BIG name player going to a contender for several players and a draft choice or prospect. A one for one swap would not make much sense between the teams mentioned.

Agreed. That, and I think whoever trades for Mats already has an idea that he likely won't be returning to their team next season. It would be too much of risk for Atlanta to give up Hossa for what could be nothing next season.
