NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Jason Arnott and Marek Zidlicky each had a goal and assist to lift the Nashville Predators to a 5-3 preseason win over the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday night.
Zidlicky gave the Predators a 1-0 lead at 13:52 of the first period, the first of three goals allowed by Ondrej Pavelec. Fred Braithwaite gave up the other two.
The Thrashers tied it 1-1 at 18:58 of the first on a 5-on-3 power-play goal by Alexandre Giroux that beat goalie Chris Mason from close range.
Four goals were scored in the second period, three by Nashville. Arnott scored 46 seconds in, and Vernon Fiddler added a goal at 6:31. J.P. Dumont assisted on both goals, and Alexander Sulzer netted the third of the frame at 15:29.
