Big, tough, young player with bright future. Has excellent speed and plays well defensively. Named to 1998 OHL Second All-Rookie Team, after scoring 14 goals and 31 points in 58 games with the Sudbury Wolves. Was named to the 2000 OHL First All-Star Team selection at left wing after scoring 89 points (40-49) in 68 games. Won OHL's plus/minus Award with a plus-47 rating.
Plus according to NHL.com stats, Pyatt is smart enough to stay out of the penalty box, only 38 minutes in 78 games last season.
Also Pyatt is bigger than Hecht, at 6'4" and 222 lbs.
So he's big, tough, smart and puts up numbers when playing with other talented players. Sounds like he would be a welcome addition to the top line.
