Declining interest is not what is happening for the Wings. The Wings consistently draw more people to stadiums that have a hard time filling. A clear indicator that the economy has more to do with it. And the Wings still averaged 90% capacity, and over 18,000 people. Some of the other stadiums don't even seat 18,000, much less get that many to attend. The Wings were still top 10 in ticket revenue. Why do they always have to be top 3 for people to be satisfied? Why are you too slow and ignorant to accept the fact that the economy is terrible right now? And don't give me the bull**** about how the other sports stadiums always fill up, because 1. Thats not even true, and 2. Those sports are more popular in the States to begin with.
And you still are refusing to acknowledge that this is an event that occurs only once a year, and really only once in a lifetime for the people in the area. Definitely would be no problem filling up.

Thanks for admitting that the people of Detroit for the most part are disinterested in the wings.
So to say they would have no problem filling up an out door stadium is a stretch and miss leading with no proof what so ever to back up your claim of selling out .
Funny how wings fans claim poverty for the declining attendance yet the people of Detroit and area have money for other sports at higher prices and bigger venues.
