My suggestions would be for you to buy the insoles and see what happens. If they solve your issues, there would be no need to spend another $250. If your skates continue to give you issues, all is not lost as you can put those insoles into any skate you eventually get.
Are the XXXX's worth trying on? Yeah, if thats all you want to do right now. I mean, what could it hurt right? As far the break in, you can always get them baked so they are molded to your foot. So thats not much of an issue.
