I think Wellwood will be traded at the draft along with Kubina to try and pick up another first round pick and later picks.
I think Raycrofts days are numbered in Toronto. What the Leafs will try to do is make a move with a team like L.A who are looking for a goalie and aquire a late pick OR he will be a throw in into a later trade.
Also, I dont want to see Darcy bought out. Rumour has it, he will be, but I dont understand the point, he's not a bad player, nor is he hindering to the team. I also believe he has some value on the market if he were willing to move his no trade clause.
The only RFAs that will be resigned are:
Stajan, Wellwood, Harrison, maybe Ondrus
UFA signings:
Maybe Snats, Clemmenson
The other ones dont really matter in my opinion.
As for prospects, depending on their training camp, Earl, Kulemin, Vorobiev, Kronwall, Harrison. Will all start in the AHL. Personally I would prefer if Tlusty got some tuning in the AHL as well where he could play more often and have an impact.
As for this draft, I hope they draft Cody Hodgson. The Leafs have a late 2nd rounder, where they will probably draft a winger.
As for the Roster:
Goalies:
Vesa Toskala
Justin Pogge*
Scott Clemmensen
* Assuming the Leafs dont sign a UFA backup.
Possible backups:
David Aebischer
Wade Dubielewicz
Stephen Valiquette
Defense:
McCabe-Kaberle
Coliacovo-Defensive defensemen*
White-Kronwall
7th:Stralman
8th:Harrison
Possible defensemen:
Brad Stuart
Mattias Norstrom
Adam Foote
Jason Smith
Forwards:
Jason Blake*-Mats Sundin*-Nik Antropov
Alexei Ponikarovsky- UFA - Alexander Steen
Jiri Tlusty-Matt Stajan-Darcy Tucker (if not traded)
Jeremy Williams- UFA/Prospect - UFA/Prospect
Possible Centers:
Brendan Morrison
Daymond Langkow
Vaclav Prospal
Jason Williams
4th line:
Patrick Rissmiller
Curtis Brown
Dominic Moore
*Blake could also be traded away. We might get two roster players for him ( 2 players who are 2 million each maybe?)
