Sure, you can´t just let all the old guys go, you just have to pick the right ones to keep - no only the technically good ones, but especially those with whom you can provide the young players some ground and expect some decent contribution. You also need all that emotional stability required by the game, so I´d definitely start selecting the right men to gather the new kids around.
Edit: because I believe everybody agrees the Leafs REALLY need a lot of new faces, right?
