Hmmm... This could work for the Maple Leafs' organisation in a way.
I mean, with the way Toskala was playing lately the CuJo/Eddie factor was beginning to slip in again.
31 goals against in his last 16 games, or 20 against in his last 11. He was averaging around 1.9 Goals against per game. It got to the fimiliar point of when even if the team were to lose a game, he couldn't be blamed.
Now they have the average/below average Goaltender in Andrew Raycroft between the pipes again, and now once again more focus is being put back on who is doing what on the ice rather than the score at the end of the day which (despite what many want to think) is never "all that matters in the end" because mistakes can and do catch up to this team - and every other team.
It could help in stopping bad habits, uncovering flaws that hurt this team badly, etc....
Is this goal Rayzor's fault?
Is this goal the defence's fault?
What should have been done here?
Could they have made a better play there?
Why wasn't this done? He was right here, or he was right there.
Why does this player continue to do this or that over and over again?
Hopefully the heat will be turned back on management again and it'll be no more of "yeah, but we still won the game" for some time.
